Jiri is an amateur photographer. He has been involved in photography since the late 1960's. Starting with a Corina 6x9 cm camera, he eventually graduated to SLR Exa and Praktica MTL3 cameras. He has worked in his own darkroom (a family bathroom...), developing and printing black and white photos. Today, he uses Nikon digital cameras exclusively.
Born in Prague, the Czech Republic, Jiri has traveled extensively in the Czech Republic and around the world. This travel and exposure to other places and cultures allowed him to develop a keen ability to observe the world around him, and to capture it with photography. He is especially interested in wildlife, nature and landscape photography.

Jiří je amatérský fotograf. Fotografování se věnuje od konce 60. let. Začínal s fotoaparátem Corina 6x9 cm a nakonec přešel na zrcadlovky Exa a Praktica MTL3. Pracoval ve vlastní temné komoře (rodinná koupelna...), kde vyvolával a tiskl černobílé fotografie. Dnes používá výhradně digitální fotoaparáty Nikon.
Jiří se narodil v Praze, hodně cestuje po České republice, ale i po světě. Toto cestování a poznávání jiných míst a kultur mu umožnilo rozvinout schopnost pozorovat svět kolem sebe a zachytit ho pomocí fotografie. Zajímá se zejména o fotografování divoké zvěře, přírody a krajiny.
Všechny fotografie, které zde uvidíte, jsou originální a doufá, že se vám bude líbit pohled na krásy přírody zachycené jeho očima.
